Machika Foundation aims to promote sustainable and equitable economic growth
and socio-economic development for better living conditions in rural communities. In a country where over 41% of people live in poverty, and almost half of Uganda’s population is under the age of 15, representing one of the youngest populations in the world and a host to the largest refugee population in Africa, community empowerment is critical if the population and the community is to have better livelihoods. Therefore, Machika Foundation implements activities aimed at addressing the poverty and related issues by:
  • Implement Capacity building and skills development Projects based on need
  • Provide the necessary resources to income-generating activities.
  • Offer financial support to communities to start or scale their projects.
  • Linking communities with opportunities
